Format conversion/Mesh ↔ mesh
3MF to GLB converter (local)
Convert a 3MF manufacturing package to GLB locally in your browser. The Worker inflates the ZIP, reads the core model XML, applies build and component transforms, normalizes the declared units to millimetres, and writes the GLB download without uploading the model.

The input is streamed in 4 MiB slices; the output is assembled in the Worker and downloaded locally.

The 3MF ZIP and core model XML are read in the Worker; build and component transforms are applied locally.

How it works
- 1
Drop a 3MF file.
- 2
The Worker inflates the package and parses the core model XML without DOMParser.
- 3
Build and component transforms are applied, and the declared units are normalized to millimetres.
- 4
Download the generated file locally. No upload is performed.
What the numbers mean
3MF model units are normalized to millimetres (micron, millimetre, centimetre, inch, foot, or metre). The GLB writer then preserves those numeric coordinates without converting them to glTF metres, so set the scale in the target viewer.
Core mesh objects, build items, and component transforms are supported. Materials, textures, beam lattices, and production-extension model parts are skipped.
Printing notes
- 3MF is unit-aware; the converter normalizes the model to millimetres before writing.
- Multiple build items and components are merged into one mesh.
- Keep the original 3MF until the converted file is verified.
