Mesh repair/Topology
Mesh weld and clean (local)
Weld duplicate vertices, remove zero-area and duplicate triangles, and download a cleaned binary STL. Inputs can be STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF, GLB, or a self-contained glTF; every step runs in the Worker without uploading the model.
Cleaned mesh
No uploadCleaned mesh
Vertices are welded at 0.001 unit tolerance; zero-area and duplicate triangles are removed. The output is binary STL.
Drop a mesh to clean
STL, OBJ, PLY, 3MF, GLB, or a self-contained glTF. The cleaned download is binary STL.

How it works
- 1
Drop a mesh file in any supported format.
- 2
The Worker parses the source and welds vertices at a 0.001 unit tolerance.
- 3
Triangles that collapse to fewer than three distinct vertices, have zero area, or duplicate an existing face are removed.
- 4
Download the cleaned binary STL. No upload is performed.
What the numbers mean
Source coordinates are preserved in the output. 3MF units are normalized to millimetres by the 3MF reader; other formats keep their numeric coordinates.
This operation repairs topology only. It removes degenerate and duplicate triangles and welds coincident vertices; it does not fill holes, unify winding, or guarantee a watertight solid.
Printing notes
- Run the cleaned STL through your slicer's own repair check before printing.
- Welding at 0.001 units can merge intentionally close vertices; verify small features after repair.
- Keep the original source until the cleaned mesh is verified.
