Format conversion/Mesh ↔ mesh
GLB to PLY converter (local)
Convert GLB to binary little-endian PLY in the browser. The Worker reads the glTF JSON and BIN chunks, applies node transforms, triangulates primitives, and assembles the PLY locally.

The input is streamed in 4 MiB slices; the output is assembled in the Worker and downloaded locally.

Drop a GLB here
The glTF 2.0 binary container is read in the Worker; nodes, transforms, and triangle primitives are merged locally.

How it works
- 1
Drop a GLB file.
- 2
The Worker reads the GLB container and glTF scene graph.
- 3
Node transforms are applied and triangle primitives are merged into one mesh.
- 4
Download the binary PLY locally. No upload is performed.
What the numbers mean
glTF uses metres by convention. The converter preserves the source coordinates without rescaling; confirm the intended unit before import.
The PLY contains float32 positions and a triangle index list. GLB materials, textures, colors, normals, skins, morph targets, and Draco compression are not included.
Printing notes
- PLY preserves shared indices, which is useful for downstream mesh processing.
- All GLB meshes and node instances are merged into one PLY element.
- Check the unit scale and bounds before printing.
