Bambu Lab P1S build volume and fit check
The P1S has a nominal 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume. Its enclosed CoreXY frame is useful for ABS and ASA, but the plate is not a full cube in daily use: the slicer's prime line, a brim, and the plate's edge margin can eat into the usable footprint. Drop a model below to compare its bounding box with this bed in all six axis-aligned orientations.

Model-specific limits
- Many P1S slicer profiles lay a prime line along one edge. A 256 mm part touching that edge can collide with the purge path, so keep 5–10 mm of XY clearance.
- The enclosure helps with ABS and ASA, but large flat parts still warp. The checker measures geometry, not chamber temperature or bed adhesion.
- The 256 mm plate is smaller than the K1 Max or Voron 2.4 350. A 300 mm prop or enclosure that assumes a large-format bed needs a split or a different machine.
What fits
Parts up to roughly 240 mm across one axis leave room for a skirt and a prime line. Use the 256 mm plate to avoid splitting a jig into unnecessary pieces.
ABS, ASA and PC blends benefit from the passive enclosure. Keep the largest face on the plate and add a brim when the footprint approaches the edge.
A prop that is too large for one piece can be split at natural seams. This page links to split-parts and transform-mesh after the fit result.
Orientation tips
- Keep 5–10 mm of XY clearance when the model approaches 256 mm; it covers a skirt and the purge line.
- For tall ABS parts, preheat the chamber and use a brim; the fit result cannot predict warp.
- If a model fits only after rotation, check the new orientation for supports and layer strength before exporting.
